Time is flying by

I can't believe we are in the middle of October. Where in the world are the days going? Everything has been going pretty good around here. I have been super busy with work and Mamie's Poppy Plates . We had our second board meeting last night and were in a trade show a few weeks ago. We are getting such a great response. The garden is blooming again and it is so beautiful. Taylor and I are planning on picking leaves up soon and I will take some pictures to share with you guys. Dad and I met with the man down at the cemetery and got everything changed around. I can't even begin to tell you how much better I feel. He told us that the headstone should be moved by this Friday unless there is a funeral. I am keeping my fingers crossed. While we were down there Mamie's little wind chime was going crazy. :) So many people have been asking me about where Taylor and I are with this whole trying to get pregnant thing... well all I can say is that we are still taki...

A month ago.....I blogged.....

I haven't blogged in a while about what has been going on around here. Tonight I got onto blogger and saw that I had a draft that I never published back from a month ago. While reading through it I realized how badly I need to get back to journaling. So below is an entry from July 30. Since we passed Mamie's first birthday things have been a little different around here. I feel like I can breath a little better. I have found a peace that I didn't think I would ever find. It is hard to believe we made it through all the "firsts" already. I look back on this time last year and, I felt like I couldn't go on. The pain is for sure still there it has just lessened. You search for a new normal after losing a child and God has been there every step of the way. He has held me up in my darkest days and stayed by my side always. So many moms that I have talked to say, you will NEVER get over the loss of your child you just learn how to live with it. Mamie ha...

A better day

Hey everyone, So today has been a better day. I woke up refreshed and ready to be productive. I thank you all for your prayers and comments. You don't know how much that means to both Taylor and I. When I receive them it just brings me back to that warm place of knowing there are many people out there praying for us. Even though it has almost been a year you haven't forgotten and that means the world. To all the people out there that have sent me messages that I have never met.......WOW...... I am tearing up right now just thinking about how special that is. God has brought so many wonderful people into our lives that we never would have known and for that I am so grateful. I went in for my weekly acupuncture this morning. It was really nice and relaxing. I am trying to keep my stress down to a minimum right now and I have to say that is easier said than done. We are still also going to the fertility clinic and will be able to take a test on Monday the 21st. I h...

Waiting

It is the end of April and I really can't believe how fast the months have passed us by. From what I told you in an earlier post Taylor and I have been given the okay to try for another baby. Month after month has been really hard when it just doesn't happen. I keep telling myself that God has a plan for us. I believe that he will bless us with another baby but I know it will be on his time not mine. I am still going to my weekly acupuncture which I absolutely love. She calms me. We have also started a new journey. Last month we were sent to the fertility doctor. They are hoping to get my body on a normal cycle which I have never had in my life. The beginning process was pretty emotional for me. I just didn't understand why I was having to go through more testing. We know we can get pregnant. My body just needed a little help. The whole experience is not what I expected. The clinic is pretty cold and sterile. I am not saying that they aren't nice it i...

Leaving it in God's hands

Taylor and I have been given the okay to try and get pregnant again. I haven't blogged about it because I really wasn't sure I wanted everyone to know. I remember everyone saying how fertile you are after you have a baby and how most people get pregnant quickly. It has been 4 months now and I have really been struggling with all of this. I guess I had it in my head that God wouldn't make us wait very long after all the pain we have gone through. For those of you who don't know it took us right around a year to get pregnant with Mamie. I am not big into taking drugs. Not that I think it is bad for people to take medicine. It just isn't for me. My mom found out about this book called "The Infertility Cure" written by Randine Lewis, Ph.D. You can click on the book and it will link to a book store. We ran out and got the book and I began interviewing acupuncturist. I found a wonderful lady Dr. Lei at Shie Ji Acupuncture Clinic . She is an amazing woman. N...
