32 Weeks!

We just got back from the beach. What a nice and relaxing time we had. Mamie has really been active. I mean my belly has been doing some serious moving around. While we were at the beach we saw a couple of little bald headed babies and it got me so excited. I can't believe how close it is getting. I really think we are going to have a little baldy ourselves. We took some pictures at the beach that I will post later. Silas would lift up my shirt and say "Mamie". I would say tell her hi and he would wave his sweet little hand and say "hi". I can't wait to see those two together. We still have a lot to get done before she comes. Mrs. Karen aka Mimi is coming to paint the tree on the wall behind the crib sometime soon. I can't wait to see it finished. The drapes should be done soon and those are going to look adorable. Once I get it all put together I will take a picture for you all to see. Here is what baby is doing this week. Hello, Sara

31 Weeks

I had a doctors appointment and everything looks good. YEA!!!! I start my every 2 week appointments now. Here is what baby is doing this week. Hello, Sarah! This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. He weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy. >>Read more about this week

30 Weeks

Slacking again on the blog. Last week I was 30 weeks. That is a big week right :) 10 weeks to go. OH MY GOODNESS!!!!! I made it through my big wedding weekend thanks to some really awesome clients and my amazing assistants. Thanks girls! Mamie, here are some pictures of your momma working hard at 30weeks :) Here is what baby is doing at 30weeks! -Sarah Hello, Sarah! Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and she weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds her, but that volume will decrease as she gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. Her eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after she's born, she'll keep her eyes closed for a good part of the day. When she does open them, she'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means she can only make out objects a few inches from her face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.) >> Read more ab

First hiccups

I am laying in the bath getting as much R&R before this afternoons wedding and Mamie got her first hiccups. At first I wasn't sure what was going on and then realized it was such a rhythmic movement it must be. So fun! I will be updating my 30 week post hopefully today if not tomorrow so check back. Oh goodness now Gus has them;) LOL -Sarah
