Burke is 8mths

So I have totally been slacking again on the blog post.  Things have been great around here.  Burke is on the move these days and man is he fast.  He hasn't figured out how to crawl on his knees yet but he has mastered the army crawl.  A few weeks back we  both got pretty sick.  After a long wait at the doctors office we found out he had strep.  Not fun at all.  I felt so bad for the little guy.  While dealing with that he was also cutting 2 more top teeth.  Yes that's right.  Burke has 6 teeth now and he loves to chew on everything he can get his hands on.  Burkie has been such a quiet little guy until just a few weeks ago.  His personality has really come out.  He's such a ham these days.  He loves to dance, clap his hands, show us his tongue, wave bye bye and sing into his favorite microphone oh and I can't forget he loves loves loves to play with any kind of ball.  Everyday he seems to do something new and I thank God for this wonderful gift He has given us.

To walk in the room and see that little face light up when he see's you.  Ah there are just no words to describe it.  :)  When I look at him and he crunches up his nose and smiles really big it just melts my heart.  When we say "I'm gonna get you" and he squeals and starts crawling away from us as fast as he can.  It's so fun.  Motherhood is a wonderful thing!

Every night before bed Burke and I say our prayers.  I began saying the prayer when Burke was born that Britney says with Silas.  This past month when I walk him into his room and I began to say "Know I lay me down to sleep..." he turns his head and puts his face into my chest like he is praying with me.  Pretty cool!  We always tell Mamie that we love her so so much and miss her more than anything.  Man how I wish she was here.  She would be such a good big sister.  We talk to Burke about Mamie all the time and I know even though she is not here he will know his big sis.

Life is good and we have been blessed.

Burke and Gus are really getting use to each other.  Gus love that Burke is eating finger foods now.  He comes running to the kitchen table as soon an I sit Burke in his seat.  I am sure the Goose is going to gain a ton of weight.

Burke and Mommy

So I wanted to surprise Taylor with some picture of Burke and I for Christmas.  We spend a lot of time snuggling on our bed so that was the perfect place for this photo shoot.  I wanted Amanda to photograph those special moments of our everyday life that I love to do for other families.  She did an amazing job and I can't believe I am just now sharing these with you all.  I had lots of favorites and I can't wait to get some for the house. Happy Friday - Sarah

This is the precious picture we used for our Christmas card!  Love it!

Just a swingin

Yesterday was so beautiful. After Burke's afternoon nap we went down to see his cousins. Silas wanted us all to go play in his playhouse. Burke had so much fun swinging in Abe's swing. You wouldn't know it by his expressions ;) It was his first time and I think we are gonna have to get one at our house. I hope we lots of warm days this winter.

Happy Friday.

Burke is 7mths

Burke is 7 months today!  7 MONTHS!!!  Were in the world is the time going.  He has brought so much joy to our lives and he surprises us everyday with something new he does.  He is still such a solum sam but once he checks out the situation he will start smiling.  It totally cracks me up.  He cuts up in front of Taylor and I all the time.  Squealing, laughing, bouncing his head back and forth when we sing, blowing bubbles, and working on his voice.  But if someone else walks in the room it's all over :)  His bottom 2 teeth are in and I think he might be getting more as much as he chews.  He loves his Sophie.  I keep her in his crib which sometimes scares us in the middle of the night when he wakes up and start playing with her.  All we here is this loud squeaking through the monitor.  He also has figured out how to get a hold of his mobile.  He swings that think all over the place.  He loves to grab it and let it pop out of his hand.  I took it down until we drop is bed down lower.  Hope you all are having a wonderful day.  Below are some pics I have taken of our little nugget

Christmas 2011

I am a little late on a lot of these post but oh well :)  Christmas this year was great.  My family we had Christmas before Jason and Britney headed off to Wisconsin.  Burke got a prayer time board book and a baby bible board book too.  I was really hoping for those.  One thing that I loved is that my family made a donation to Mamie's Poppy Plates in Mamie's memory.  That meant a lot opening a gift to Mamie and just knowing they haven't forgotten.

On Christmas morning Taylor and I got up and had a nice breakfast before Burkie work up.  Santa brought him a rocking frog that plays music.  He was pretty interested in it but really liked the wrapping paper much better.  I was super pumped about my gift.  I got a Ninja :)  for those of you that don't know about the Ninja go check it out.  I have found someway to use that thing pretty much everyday in the kitchen.  It is super awesome for making baby food.

We went to Hot Springs to have Christmas with Taylor's family later that day.  We had a huge dinner and then opened presents.  Burke got some books, a cute onsie and a few toys.  Just what he needed.  A few things really go a long way :)

This is the ornament Meredith and Patrick sent us for Mamie.  I love it and will always look at it and think of their sweet Miller and Mamie being in heaven together.

Every year Taylor gets me ornaments.  For those of you that don't know me.  I LOVE ornaments and I like to put the name of the person who gave it to me as well as the year  on it.  It is so fun every year to hang them and remember back at who gave them to me.  Anyway we decided this year we would do one for Burke and one for Mamie.  Aren't they adorable :)

This cross ornament is what we got at the Journey memorial service that we go to every November.  I will be blogging pics from that hopefully soon.  I thought it looked perfect hanging on Mamie's book that a friend made us.

Here is the Ninja!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On our ride to Hot Springs I thought a lot about Mamie but also all the other babies that have passed.  This Christmas was Meredith and Patrick's first Christmas without little Miller.  It hurt my heart to think about how they were feeling.  When I looked up at the sky I saw this M in the clouds.  I had to send it to Meredith.  It was perfect.  Mamie and Miller were sending me a sign and I had to share it with her.

Cooper, Hayden, Jackson and Brayden put on a show for us before we opened gifts.  They sang, danced and rocked out on their guitar.

Burke was so tired on the way home.  When I opened the car door this is how I found him.  Is that not hilarious.
