What's in a name.....

Well as you all know Taylor and I love different names but they all mean something very special to us.

Pregnancy 1-
Girl- Mamie Katherine Adams
Boy- Burke Kenneth Adams

Mamie Katherine as most of you know came from both sides of our family. Mamie was the name of my grandmothers sister. We never met Aunt Mamie but we feel we now her from all the stories my mother told us. I have her rocking chair in Burke's room right now and after we lost our Mamie my Aunt Sandy gave me Aunt Mamie's bible. What a special gift!   I found writings in her bible and also found out that she had miscarried once and never had any children after that.

Katherine is both Taylor and my grandmothers name. Catherine Bussey is my dads mother and Katherine Cowgill was Taylor's mothers mom who he never met. She passed away when his mom was very young from a brain tumor.

Pregnancy 2-
Boy- Burke Kenneth Adams
Girl- Winnie Hope Adams

Burke is my mothers maiden name and we just love it. There were all girls and one boy cousins and our one boy cousin didn't have children so we really wanted to keep that name going. We all loved Irvin and Enloe Burke so much and why not name our son after them.

Kenneth is also a very special name. First off it is Taylor's dads name who we love very very much and he was very proud when we told him.  He has recently passed away and so the name means the owrld to us.   Kenneth is also Taylor's first name so it worked out perfectly.

Pregnancy 3-
Girl- Winnie Hope Adams
Boy- Wesley Samuel Adams

We should find out the sex of baby bean this week but I will go ahead and explain

Winnie is my great grandmother on my moms side. I love the name it goes
great with Mamie and Burke but it also is very special. The meaning behind Winnie is pure, white, blessed and peaceful.  That pretty much sums up it up.  Hope came from our loss of Mamie and our hope in our future, happiness, more children, etc.

Wesley we have decided on if it is another boy :)  We love the name and this was Taylor's grandfathers name on his dad's side.  I know it would mean the world to Ken.  Such a cute name.  It means "Western Meadow"

Samuel is my great grandfathers name and we also love it very much.  We didn't think having a Samuel Adams would be very appropriate :)  I think that might be a beer or something :)  So we are using it for his middle name.

Anyway there you go.  What's in a name...... well a lot to us and I am so happy to share all the meanings behind our names with you all.

Stay tuned........I have added a poll to the blog.  Everyone vote on what you think we are having.  We shall see ;)

Burke is 3!!!!!

Okay I have decided that time is going by way too fast.  Burke just turned 3 the beginning of June!  I can not believe it.  I feel like just yesterday I was in the hospital having the little guy!  We had a fun small family party and he is loving some super hero's right now so that was the theme :)  Silas really wanted to jump out when he walked in and yell surprise so that is what we did :)  Burke is super shy and he really wasn't a fan of it all.  Pibby and Pops got him his first bike and it is SO cute.   I picked up a balloon for all the kids and one special spider man one for Boo.  He has always loved balloons.  He said the sweetest thing....... he wanted to let his balloons go up to Mamie so she would know that it was his birthday.  I couldn't believe he let his special Spider Man one go.  It made me want to cry.  She should be here with us.  ANYWAYS, it was a fun day and I got some pictures of course and a few videos.  Happy 3rd Birthday Burkie BOO!  We love you so so…

Choroid Plexus Cyst (CPC) & Hydronephrosis

I have heard from many of your wondering what exactly these markers are and what could they mean. We received an information sheet from our genetics doctor that I can't seem to upload but I found this write up and thought I would share. The Choroid Plexus and Choroid Plexus CystsThe choroid plexus is an area of the brain that makes cerebrospinal fluid. Cerebrospinal fluid is the substance that surrounds the brain and spinal cord. The choroid plexus is not an area of the brain involved in thinking. Choroid plexus cysts are fluid-filled spaces in the choroid plexus kind of like blisters or bubbles. Choroid plexus cysts are not tumors or cancer, and they will disappear on their own usually between 24 to 26 weeks of pregnancy. Choroid plexus cysts, in and of themselves, are NOT a problem and do not interfere with brain function. They are seen in about 1% (1/100) of all second trimester ultrasounds. Choroid plexus cysts may be seen in one or both sides of the brain and the number, size…

Burke and Winnie just finished their first Vacation Bible School and they had a blast.  I did as well :)  I got to help in Burkes class which is always really interesting.  There were about 20 3yr olds in there so it was WILD :)  It was a fun 3 days of learning about how God is our light.  We sang "This little light of mine" everyday and Winnie is trying so hard to sing it.  She walks around the house with her little pointer finger up mumbling.  I love it.
