12 Week!

So I am 12 weeks today.  YEA!  We are moving right along.  It is so funny because I really have been feeling pretty good so far minus a little sickness here and there but nothing really to complain about.  My energy level has been the same.  I just have been going to bed around 9ish every night but that is it.  Well, starting Saturday morning I woke up SO nauseated.  I mean I felt horrible.  Jayna and Matthew were here staying with us and she thankfully had some medicine that her doctor said would be safe for us prego chicks to take.  I took part of the pill right then and started feeling better.  Taylor and I headed to Hot Springs for me to shoot a wedding.  I was so tired when we got there so as soon as we checked in to the hotel I took about a 45 minute power nap before Ashley and I headed out for an 8 hour shift :)  All night I kept feeling nausiated and I even woke up 3 times thinking I was going to throw up.  I thought surely this would go away but I have been felling that way ever since.  I have been in my comfy clothes all day today which has been nice.  Britney came up after lunch and we went thought my closet and got everything organized.  Mom, Grandmamma and Silas just left.  They helped me clean up all of my Christmas decorations.  What a sweet family I have. ;)

Anyway enough about how bad I have been feeling.  While the Weber's were in town they found out at their ultra sound that they are having a little boy.  We are So excited for them.  As soon as Jayna got here we jumped in the car to go look at some stores.  At one of the stores I got talked into buying the Intelli-Gender test.  Jayna's mom had also told us that she had heard that if you pee in a glass bowl and stir in 2 spoons of crystal drain-o you can figure out the sex of the baby.  So we stopped by Home Depot to find some crystal drain-o.   The boys were super excited when we got home and told them that we had a little experiment that involved our pee and drain-o.  So after 2 times of trying the drain-o we never really figured anything out.  The first time ours looked different.  Mine was more amber color and Jayna's was more blue.  The second time they looked the same.

The next morning I got to try the $40 store bought Intelli-Gender.  It came back that we are having a boy.  I am so anxious now to really find out what the sex of the  baby is.  Only 4 more weeks :)  YAHOO!!!!!  www.intelligender.com

Here is what baby is doing this week.

How your baby's growing:

The most dramatic development this week: reflexes. Your baby's fingers will soon begin to open and close, his toes will curl, his eye muscles will clench, and his mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod your abdomen, your baby will squirm in response, although you won't be able to feel it. His intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into his abdominal cavity about now, and his kidneys will begin excreting urine into his bladder.

Meanwhile, nerve cells are multiplying rapidly, and in your baby's brain, synapses are forming furiously. His face looks unquestionably human: His eyes have moved from the sides to the front of his head, and his ears are right where they should be. From crown to rump, your baby-to-be is just over 2 inches long (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an

Hope everyone had a great day.

  1. I can't wait to find out if intelligender was right! I guess there is a reason the Drano test isn't popular anymore:) Baby Owen needs a buddy but he would also be okay with a cute little girlfriend! Thank ya'll so much for letting us live with ya'll over Christmas! We had so much fun! I hope you start feeling better soon- hopefully this won't last too much longer!

Burke is 3!!!!!

Okay I have decided that time is going by way too fast.  Burke just turned 3 the beginning of June!  I can not believe it.  I feel like just yesterday I was in the hospital having the little guy!  We had a fun small family party and he is loving some super hero's right now so that was the theme :)  Silas really wanted to jump out when he walked in and yell surprise so that is what we did :)  Burke is super shy and he really wasn't a fan of it all.  Pibby and Pops got him his first bike and it is SO cute.   I picked up a balloon for all the kids and one special spider man one for Boo.  He has always loved balloons.  He said the sweetest thing....... he wanted to let his balloons go up to Mamie so she would know that it was his birthday.  I couldn't believe he let his special Spider Man one go.  It made me want to cry.  She should be here with us.  ANYWAYS, it was a fun day and I got some pictures of course and a few videos.  Happy 3rd Birthday Burkie BOO!  We love you so so

Baby Burke- Please Pray

Taylor and I went in for our big ultrasound this morning. I am 18 weeks along now, so they were checking out our baby boy closely. They found 2 genetic markers that caused a red flag. One cyst on the brain and his kidneys are enlarged. We need lots of prayers right now. Prayers for these markers to disappear and for our baby boy to be healthy. We also need prayers for our sanity as we wait, hope and pray. We will go back for another ultrasound in 8 weeks (March 31). We were told not to look this up on the internet and would appreciate only positive comments on this situation. God is good and we are leaving it in His hands. Thanks for your prayers, Sarah

NO FEAR!!!

I took the kids to the park this afternoon once the sun came out.  It was so beautiful and we love Woodlands Edge park.  Lots of trees, green space to run and Slides:) Winnie is small but that girl is mighty.  She has NO FEAR when it comes to the slides.  Which is totally different for me since Burke has always been so cautious.  I love days like this.  Feeling very blessed! - Sarah
