River Weekend

> We had a nice and relaxing weekend at the river. The boys headed
> out on the river first thing yesterday morning and fished until
> dark. They caught a ton of fish but didn't bring them home :) We
> girls and Silas hung out at the house and did ah.......… really
> nothing. We did bring the Wii up so we worked out on the Wii Fit
> for a few hours. We gave Silas a bath which was a family affair on
> Friday night. He loves to play in the bath. I got this picture of
> him with nothing but his boots on. I love it!

> After his bath we fed him some spaghetti that he absolutely couldn't
> get enough of. He was double fisting and shoveling it into his
> mouth. Doesn't he look so happy. :) Britney was so glad to see him
> eating since he has been sick all week and when he went to the
> doctor the other day they said he had lost weight. Poor baby!

> It was a nice and relaxing weekend. We got home early this morning
> and Taylor and I made a fire and have been vegging in the den. I
> have been feeling nauseated every once in a while through out the
> day the past couple of days. My new favorite drink that seems to
> settle my stomach is Perrier water. OMG I love that stuff. This
> afternoon we cleaned out the basement and got the nursery/junk room
> cleaned out. I feel so much better that we did that. We have been
> just throwing anything and everything that we don't want to deal
> with in there since it was an empty room. It was driving me crazy.

> So Taylor started feeling yucky a few hours ago and soon after he
> started running to the bathroom throwing up. GREAT!!!! I think he
> might have the stomach bug. He is in bed and I am on the couch. I
> think I might sleep here tonight. I really don't want to get this.
> I feel so bad for him! Anyway I am going to go check on him.
> Hope everyone has a great night.

  1. What a fun weekend! It was nice to have family help with a sick little one :-). Hopefully little nakie will feel better tomorrow. He's sleeping right now. Let's keep our fingers crossed that he continues!!!

Sorry Tay is sick. Yuck! I really hope you don't get it.

  3. So excited to get the invite to view your little blog!! I love that you have named this nugget "Poppy Seed!" So cute. I'm glad you are doing well....take it easy!! Hope you don't get what Taylor has either. O.k. in looking at your fun pics from the river, I was wondering why Silas had a bath BEFORE spaghetti! Ha! Love the naked boot pic. Hope to see you soon. Happy Thanksgiving.

Introducing Mamie's Poppy Plates

As you all know, I am Mamie's mom, and Mamie was my first child. I was pregnant with her from October 2008 to June 25th, 2009 when she was born a sleeping angel (stillborn) two and a half weeks before her due date. Stillbirth and infant death are realities that too many parents face even today. Did you know that each year 1 in 115 babies delivered is stillborn? And 1 in every 102 newborns die before the age of 28 days old? Now, a year after losing Mamie, I have started Mamie's Poppy Plates, my organization providing keepsakes for parents who are not able to take their babies home from the hospital. Because handprints and footprints are something that we cherish as parents of children in Heaven or here on this earth, I wanted to find a beautiful way to preserve such a precious reminder of our babies. Your donation of $13 will provide a plate to bereaved families who are delivering at St. Vincent Hospital. Their baby’s birth stats, hand and footprints will be stampe...

VBS

Burke and Winnie just finished their first Vacation Bible School and they had a blast.  I did as well :)  I got to help in Burkes class which is always really interesting.  There were about 20 3yr olds in there so it was WILD :)  It was a fun 3 days of learning about how God is our light.  We sang "This little light of mine" everyday and Winnie is trying so hard to sing it.  She walks around the house with her little pointer finger up mumbling.  I love it. - Sarah Winnie eating the stickers instead of putting them on her art piece :)
