Hello World

Hello world, I know I know it has been a while since I posted last. Things have been a little busy around here. My photography business usually slows down the first of the year but has not done so this year. I am so thankful for having a job that I absolutely love. Mamie's Poppy Plates has been also keeping me super busy. We are working on a new awesome website and I signed papers last Friday down at Mitchell Williams to get our 501(c)(3). When that comes back we will officially be a non-profit organization. I can't believe it! I have spent some time up in NWA also meeting with people and we have partnered up with Imagine Studio and have formed a group of girls up there to head up MPP there. It is an awesome group of women who have been personally touched by a loss themselves or have had a friend that has had a loss. I am truly amazed everyday who God brings into my life. He is so good and I know this project is going to go so far thanks to so many of you out there that are supporting us. Stay tuned on more from Mamie's Poppy Plates. Be sure to check out our blog www.mamiespoppyplates.com and friend us on facebook. We need your support, and so do all the families out there going through this horrible loss.
On a different note, we have been busy working on Burke's room. I am excited about how it is turning out. I will post pictures soon. It is SO cute and so what I wanted. Natural, earthly and vintage. Now all we need is our baby boy.
I am in my 23rd week now and boy is this baby moving and shaking in there. He kicked so hard the other night I saw my stomach move. I think I am in for it when he gets bigger. That little booger might break a rib ;) I am going in to see Dr. Sellers next week for my glucose test. I really hope that all comes back fine so I don't have to stay there all day drinking that yummy orange drink :) I also talked to our genetics counselor yesterday and we have moved our big appointment that was originally scheduled for the 31st to the 21st. YAHOO!!!! I am very anxious to see Burke and make sure everything is okay. I feel positive that it is. Once that is over we can move forward and get past all of that craziness.
There are so many babies on the way. Sarah, one of my best friends, had her baby girl Genna Kay a little over a week ago. She is SO adorable. I am going over on Tuesday to get my hands on her and take some family pictures of the three of them. I can't wait. I love photographing families so much. I love documenting real life! It is so special to me and I know when these families look back on their pictures they will see exactly what they were doing in that very moment. Anyway, enough talking. I just wanted to say hi and that I am still here and blogging. Don't give up on me :)
Everyone have a wonderful weekend
- Sarah

Burke is 3!!!!!

Okay I have decided that time is going by way too fast.  Burke just turned 3 the beginning of June!  I can not believe it.  I feel like just yesterday I was in the hospital having the little guy!  We had a fun small family party and he is loving some super hero's right now so that was the theme :)  Silas really wanted to jump out when he walked in and yell surprise so that is what we did :)  Burke is super shy and he really wasn't a fan of it all.  Pibby and Pops got him his first bike and it is SO cute.   I picked up a balloon for all the kids and one special spider man one for Boo.  He has always loved balloons.  He said the sweetest thing....... he wanted to let his balloons go up to Mamie so she would know that it was his birthday.  I couldn't believe he let his special Spider Man one go.  It made me want to cry.  She should be here with us.  ANYWAYS, it was a fun day and I got some pictures of course and a few videos.  Happy 3rd Birthday Burkie BOO!  We love you so so

Baby Burke- Please Pray

Taylor and I went in for our big ultrasound this morning. I am 18 weeks along now, so they were checking out our baby boy closely. They found 2 genetic markers that caused a red flag. One cyst on the brain and his kidneys are enlarged. We need lots of prayers right now. Prayers for these markers to disappear and for our baby boy to be healthy. We also need prayers for our sanity as we wait, hope and pray. We will go back for another ultrasound in 8 weeks (March 31). We were told not to look this up on the internet and would appreciate only positive comments on this situation. God is good and we are leaving it in His hands. Thanks for your prayers, Sarah

NO FEAR!!!

I took the kids to the park this afternoon once the sun came out.  It was so beautiful and we love Woodlands Edge park.  Lots of trees, green space to run and Slides:) Winnie is small but that girl is mighty.  She has NO FEAR when it comes to the slides.  Which is totally different for me since Burke has always been so cautious.  I love days like this.  Feeling very blessed! - Sarah
