Poppy Seed

 Mamie's garden is so beautiful right now.  All of the plants have popped up and bloomed and we just love going out there to play.  Not kidding every time Burke wakes up from his nap he says "I want to go play in Mamie's garden."  I love it!  I know she does too!

We have spent the past 2 days working out in Mamie's garden getting it all ready for the Spring blooms that will be happening before long.  We had 10 yrs of mulch delivered yesterday. Thankfully Marvin, the awesome yard guy that does a lot of work in our neighborhood was around to help me.  With it being Friday Taylor was at work and I only had a few times in between naps to get out there and spread mulch.  Over the weekend Burke was a big helper and today he has been doing the same.  He and Taylor have been driving back and forth to the nursery to get..... yes MORE mulch so we can finish up.  We put a little in the back of his dump truck and he drives it over and dumps it where I ask him to.  He cracks me up.  So sweet!!!  Mamie's chime has been making its beautiful sounds all day which I love.  I know she is happy to see us all together working on something so special to all of us. I can't believe all the snow we got yesterday and it wasn't ice like we usually get. It was nice powdery snow :) Taylor and I spent the morning snuggled up by the fire drinking coffee and just enjoying our morning. The view out our windows was so beautiful. Our main floor is in the tops of the trees out back and it was just amazing to see. I took Gus outside to get a few pictures and man was it quiet. I love the peaceful silence you have after a good snow. Yesterday afternoon we bundled up and headed down to Brit & Jason's to play with Silas in the snow. He was so excited to see us. We had a snowball fight and Jason and Silas built a snowman. Soon after the snowman had no eyes or nose because Silas decided he wanted to eat the cookie eyes and the cold half frozen carrot nose. He thought he was so funny. It was a good day. - Sarah

I can't believe we are in the middle of October. Where in the world are the days going? Everything has been going pretty good around here. I have been super busy with work and Mamie's Poppy Plates . We had our second board meeting last night and were in a trade show a few weeks ago. We are getting such a great response. The garden is blooming again and it is so beautiful. Taylor and I are planning on picking leaves up soon and I will take some pictures to share with you guys. Dad and I met with the man down at the cemetery and got everything changed around. I can't even begin to tell you how much better I feel. He told us that the headstone should be moved by this Friday unless there is a funeral. I am keeping my fingers crossed. While we were down there Mamie's little wind chime was going crazy. :) So many people have been asking me about where Taylor and I are with this whole trying to get pregnant thing... well all I can say is that we are still taki...

Happy Monday to you all. Wow is it a beautiful morning here in Arkansas. I am enjoying my hot cup of coffee on the deck this morning as I write this post. The birds are chirping so loud and I think today is going to be a good day. Spring is such an amazing time. We go through so many months where everything is brown and dead and then it seems like right in front of your eyes you can see the trees turning green and the plant budding out. Mamie's garden is bursting with blooms. The hot pink azaleas were the first to show their colors. Mom and Brit planted 200 pink tulip bulbs last fall while I was working a wedding. It has been such a surprise watching them pop up all around the walkway and by Mamie's bench. Everyday Taylor and I walk out to see what else is about to bloom. It is exciting to us to see new life in the garden. There are bee's buzzing around gathering nectar and we have already seen 2 butterflies fluttering around. The garden has been our little bab...
