Trip to St. Louis

Taylor, Burke and I headed to St. Louis the other weekend to visit Taylor's brother and his family.  We had a wonderful weekend.  Burke LOVED being around his cousins Jackson and Brayden.  He never really has had a chance to spend some quiet quality time with them.  He thought he was such a big boy and wanted to do everything they did.  Jack and Bray were so good with him.  They are going to be awesome with their baby sister Emma who will arrive this October :)

On Saturday we went to the Cardinals game.  We got to take the boys in the dug out and they loved that.  Burke I think had more fun playing with the mini red baseball bat that Brayden got and eating everything he could get his hands on :)

Sunday we headed over to the St. Louis Zoo.  Man was that a awesome place and I couldn't believe it was FREE to get in.  We saw so many cool animals and got some exercise walking all over that huge place.

Brian and Ashleigh thank you so much for having us and for such a fun weekend.  We can't wait to see you guys again.  Oh and THANK YOU THANK YOU for all of the clothes for Burkie Boo.  That was SO nice of you guys!  That bag was so heavy we paid $50 to get it home :)

Burke LOVED his dip-n-dots ice cream!

Look at those lips :)

We went into the butterfly house and that was super cool.  There were butterflies EVERYWHERE and they were all so beautiful!

Oh the way home from the zoo we thought Burke would pass out since he didn't get much of a nap that day.  Didn't happen.  He thought he was such a big boy hanging out with his older cousins :)

This is my favorite picture of my to favorite guys :)

Introducing Mamie's Poppy Plates

As you all know, I am Mamie's mom, and Mamie was my first child. I was pregnant with her from October 2008 to June 25th, 2009 when she was born a sleeping angel (stillborn) two and a half weeks before her due date. Stillbirth and infant death are realities that too many parents face even today. Did you know that each year 1 in 115 babies delivered is stillborn? And 1 in every 102 newborns die before the age of 28 days old? Now, a year after losing Mamie, I have started Mamie's Poppy Plates, my organization providing keepsakes for parents who are not able to take their babies home from the hospital. Because handprints and footprints are something that we cherish as parents of children in Heaven or here on this earth, I wanted to find a beautiful way to preserve such a precious reminder of our babies. Your donation of $13 will provide a plate to bereaved families who are delivering at St. Vincent Hospital. Their baby’s birth stats, hand and footprints will be stampe...

VBS

Burke and Winnie just finished their first Vacation Bible School and they had a blast.  I did as well :)  I got to help in Burkes class which is always really interesting.  There were about 20 3yr olds in there so it was WILD :)  It was a fun 3 days of learning about how God is our light.  We sang "This little light of mine" everyday and Winnie is trying so hard to sing it.  She walks around the house with her little pointer finger up mumbling.  I love it. - Sarah Winnie eating the stickers instead of putting them on her art piece :)
