7 Weeks

Well, I am 7 weeks today.  I just got home from taking Jack, Brayden, Brian and Ashleigh's Christmas pictures.  We had a lot of fun out in the leaves.  It was so good to see them and visit for a little while.  Hopefully we will have more time to hang out on Friday at the game :)  I just got my baby center email about what Poppy Seed is going this week.  It truly is amazing what that tiny little thing is doing right now.  It is measuring at about a half inch long.  Tiny little thing :)  They compare it to a blueberry!   There are some girls getting together tonight over at my friends Lauren's house.  I have been debating if I should go or not.  Taylor and I talked it over and I think I am going to go and going to announce the great news tonight.  I mean why not :)  I am a little nervous.  I guess it is that excited nervousness.... I will let you all know how it goes.   Here is what baby center said today.... Hello, Sarah! The big news this week:  Hands and feet are emerging from

A Horrible Day!

Yesterday was horrible. Like I said in my post on Sunday evening. Taylor started throwing up about every 30min. up until around midnight. Around 2am I woke up sick as a dog and started running to the bathroom about every hour to throw up. This kept on until around 8am and then started back up again at noonish. We were so pitiful. I did not get out of bed the whole day unless it was to go to the bathroom. Britney was so sweet to run to the store and get us some apple sauce and gatorade and leave it at our front door. We both woke up this morning feeling fine. My lower back is a little achy but that is about it! I am so glad we are done with this stomach bug. I hope it never comes back. -Sarah

Busy Week

I have had a very busy week this week with work. I am glad I am staying busy so I don't have time to think too much about how long it is going to be till Poppy Seed gets here. Taylor and I talk about it every day! We still just can't believe it. Yesterday Britney and Maddie drove to Cabot with me for a shoot. On the way back we were talking about the baby. Maddie thinks that the baby will be a girl and have a little bit of brown hair when it is born and she thinks for sure it will have curly hair. I hope so! :) I think a curly headed baby would be SO cute! I got an email from Alyson this morning and she sent me a song that she said made her think of me. Her email says: Sarah, I listened to this song today and thought about you...I think it's a girl! I hope you're doing well! alyson* She and Maddie aren't the only one that thinks it will be a girl. Jason is a strong believer that it will be a girl. He thinks since Brit is more of a girlie gi

Poppy Seed's New Shoes

The other day Britney and I ran into a little consignment shop and I found these shoes. I had to buy them! Aren't they adorable. I am pretty sure they are hand made by someone. :) -Sarah

Week 6

We got a sweet card in the mail from the Weber's! Thanks guys! It has been a great week. I am still feeling good and hope to stay that way :) I had a really busy weekend this past weekend. Saturday, Brit and I went to a friends baby shower then I went and photographed a 4mth old baby and after that shot an 8 hour wedding. I was exhausted when I got home at 11. Taylor was home and had done all of the laundry. He is the best! Cissy you raised him well :) Sunday when I woke up he took me to breakfast at Ihop. We haven't eaten there in a really long time. Probably since college :) It was pretty good. After we got home I headed out for my 2 engagement session. While I was gone Taylor moved all of the fire wood to the back deck, cleaned out the ponds and blew all of the leaves off the roof and in the yard. It looks so much better around here. Thanks Tay for all of your help around the house this weekend! Today we got our 6week email from baby center. Here is what P

Week 5

I have been feeling pretty good. I have been cramping a bit and have been a little tired but that is about it. I will be seeing Dr. Lei every week for my first trimester. I was having really bad back pains last Friday and she totally got rid of them. Woo HOO! You rock Dr. Lei! I worked an 8 hour wedding Saturday and felt great. We signed up for baby center and it was so fun getting the email about our baby today. I wanted to share what Poppy Seed is doing this week. Your pregnancy: 5 weeks How your baby's growing: Deep in your uterus your embryo is growing at a furious pace. At this point, he's about the size of a sesame seed, and he looks more like a tiny tadpole than a human. He's now made up of three layers — the ectoderm, the mesoderm, and the endoderm — which will later form all of his organs and tissues. The neural tube — from which your baby's brain, spinal cord, nerves, and backbone will sprout — is starting to develop in the top layer, called th

Dr. Lei

We started trying to have a baby back in January. In August my Doctor wanted to put me on clomid. We were not ready for that. I just didn't want to start putting all of those chemicals in my body. I found out about this book "The Infertility Cure". The author/doctor talks about Chinese medicine and acupuncture. I decided why not give it a try. So I called Dr. Lei and we got started. She is amazing! She was an OBGYN in China and came to the States I think about 15 years ago. She treats 10-15 infertility clients a week. Isn't that amazing. When Ashley Judd was in town she worked on her. Probably not for fertility but you never know :) She began working on my stress and many other things. I began taking all the herbs she prescribed. After the first month I could totally tell a difference. I felt so good and was just so chill. Work was not stressing me out which this time of year I am usually pulling my hair out. We started on my second month and sure e

Just a few Friends

We decided to tell a few of our friends and family. Everyone is so excited. Jayna and Matthew are due exactly a month before we are. How fun is that! I scheduled my first appointment which is Dec. 12. I will be a little over 9 weeks. We are so ready for that first appointment. I think it all will seem more real then. They told us that our due date is July 16th. WOO HOO summer baby. Poppy Seed will come right in between Taylor and my birthday. -Sarah

We are Pregnant! 4 weeks

OMG!!!! Tonight I have been sitting at the kitchen table working on my computer and watching some of my shows that I had Tivo. Taylor is in Texarkana at a seminar. I decided to take a pregnancy test just a few days early. My plan was to take one on Friday. I was about to toss it in the trash when I began to see a faint second line. HOLY COW! Am I really seeing this? It began to get darker and darker. I ran shaking and in tears to the phone. Could this FINALLY be true? Crap I couldn't call Taylor and tell him over the phone. Plus he was in the car by now with 2 other people and I know for sure he would have me on speaker phone :) I had to call Britney. Jason answers the phone. I say in a quivery voice, "Is Brit awake?" He says "No but I can wake her up. Is everything okay?" "Yes!" I reply "You're prego, aren't you!" he responds. "No just get Brit on the phone" I said back. I ended up going down to their
